My name is Jacki Barklie, I am the resident artist in Back Studio in the new Tauriko industrial area.
I am a full time artist with over 20 years experience in painting with a degree in Creative Industries, majoring in Visual arts.
I teach mainly expressive abstract.
My aim is to get you closer to your art goals by throwing logic out the door, play and enjoy the experience with paint.
In this one day workshop.
We will learn the basics of what makes good art. Mark making, tools, paints, mediums, glazes, composition, colour, values, balance & printing.
Together we explore tips and tricks I have learned over the years whilst having fun without expectations.
I will teach you how to work through the process of a project from start to finish, discovering different and amazing ways to achieve the outcome.
I will challenge you and encourage you to be bold and take risks in your work.
All materials will be provide. Bring your own lunch and canvas.
